How to Calculate Pressure-bearing Capability of Thick-walled Seamless Steel Tubes--What is the calculation method for the pressure bearing capacity of seamless steel tube mesh thick-walled seamless steel tubes? Here we select an actual case to illustrate
DN=10MM, wall thickness 3mm
Let the tensile strength of the material be σ, the pressure be P, the pipe outer diameter D;
Tube wall thickness δ=(P*D)/(2*σ/S)
Where S is the safety factor;
Because P is less than 7MPa, S selected S = 8; P is less than 17.5MPa, S selected S = 6; P is greater than 17.5MPa, S selected S = 4;
We choose the safety factor as S=6; choose 20 steel tensile strength as 410MPa,
Therefore, the pressure that the tube can withstand P=(2*σ/S*δ)/D
=(2*410/6*3)/(10+6)
=26.25MPa> set 17.5
Therefore, the safety factor takes S=4
Therefore, the pressure that the tube can withstand P=(2*σ/S*δ)/D
=(2*410/4*3)/(10+6)
=39.375MPa
